ANTIMATTER IS A TEAM OF EXPERIENCED ENTREPRENEURS AND BERKELEY CS PHDS THAT CAME TOGETHER TO SOLVE THE FUNDAMENTAL PROBLEMS OF TRUST AND PRIVACY ON THE INTERNET, backed by top VCs and the Founders of the world's leading TECHNOLOGY companies.
Michael and Andrew met as PhDs in the RISELab at UC Berkeley where they published at top systems & security conferences. Michael’s dissertation on applied cryptography and decentralized authorization would become the foundation of Antimatter’s core technology. Andrew founded Comfy, a workplace SaaS startup used by the likes of Microsoft, Google, and Intel, that Beau joined as a founding member after 7 years as a design leader at IDEO.
Comfy, like a growing number of B2B SaaS companies, had the challenge of convincing global customers that their data was secure. Antimatter was born to solve this, by making privacy elemental to the architecture of the cloud with a solution built on our breakthrough research.
